I initially opened this Tumblr with the idea of creating a space where I could share my thoughts on fashion and my own personal style to the world. Devicanwould be a place where I would write about the latest runways, as well as upcoming designers, season must haves, cute DIY’s, Andy ramblings about random subjects and personal pictures about my style. However with time that shortly changed to me just posting (mostly reblogging) pictures I loved and fitted the theme of my current moods due to time shortage. I started noticing a lot of blogs started resembling my own and that Devican was not an exact reflection not only of my personal style but also of what was current in the fashion world.

My blog now consist of pretty pale fashion shoots and very few runway pictures, most of which are “Vintage”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m completely happy with the way my blog looks and the pictures I’m posting, nothing of that will be changing, however I do want to add a little more of myself to my blog. Because of this I decided to write an article every second and fourth Monday of each month and the topic will be Latin American Fashion exclusively.

Yesterday I was having a conversation with my best-friend about some new heels she had just bought and how they were designed by a very well known Mexican Designer. I had absolutely no clue who this guy was and honestly knowing a lot more about fashion that my friend I was ashamed. I came to the realization that I follow very little the Mexican Fashion world, much less the Latin American fashion world. Due to this I decided my next project for my misled blog would be called ‘Latin American Fashion Mondays with Andrea’ where I would feature a LA Designer.

Feel free to send me a message with any LA Designer you have discovered and you are absolutely obsessed over or just your thoughts on this new project.

x Andrea
